PEXA, the world leader behind the first digital property exchange process, is proud to announce that 100% of the electricity its Leeds office uses now comes from renewable sources. The site in Leeds has reached this milestone ahead of PEXA’s target of achieving net zero scope 1 and scope 2 emissions across its operations by 2025.
PEXA has been committed to taking action to address its carbon footprint for several years where it has had control to do so. PEXA’s offices are installed with a range of energy and water efficient fittings, buildings are managed in line with sustainability principles to reduce air pollutants and enhance office indoor health, and recycling systems are maximised to cover as many recycling streams as possible.
Stacey Leslie, Facilities Manager at PEXA, said: “We take our environmental responsibility very seriously, and have been committed to driving change in our operations in the UK to implement best practice. Sourcing 100% of PEXA’s Leeds offices’ electricity from renewables is part of our wider strategy to operate in a sustainable way and reduce our carbon footprint. We believe that is the best way to do business now and in future.”
In Australia, PEXA’s head office in Melbourne and Sydney office already use 100% renewable electricity as part of the group’s emissions reduction pathway, and its Sydney office is set up within a certified carbon neutral building.
PEXA is continuing to explore renewable electricity across all of its offices globally as it continues to collaborate across the industry on environmental, social and governance actions and outcomes.
